Ryan has worked as an early-interventionalist with children under three years old, going into homes and daycares, providing speech-language therapy to kids as well as teaching language facilitation techniques to parents and caretakers. Ryan is a certified Hanen instructor, having taught It Takes Two to Talk to parents of children with developmental language delays and More Than Words to parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ryan is also a level II trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist and utilizes PROMPT techniques in his therapy. Ryan has also studied American Sign Language and often uses sign language in therapy.
Corinne Turner M.A., CCC-SLP received her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her M.A. in Speech Language Pathology from Western Washington University located in Bellingham, WA. She has worked professionally with a wide range of special needs children ranging between the ages of 2 and 21 years of age. Corinne has worked in the public schools for the past three years and continues to work in a special education preschool setting three days a week. She also has experience working in a Pediatric Rehabilitation Center in Portland, OR and has worked with adults in a nursing home setting. Corinne has attended continuing education workshops focusing on treatment methods for children with severe speech sound disorders and Childhood Apraxia of Speech, treatment using Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems, the connection between language and literacy, and SEE (Signing Exact English). |
Ryan J. Conley, M.S., CCC-SLP has been working exclusively with children with speech and language delays for thirteen years. He received his B.S. in Communication Disorders from Boston University and his M.S. from the University of Washington. He has experience in classroom based speech and language intervention from the Experimental Education Unit at the University of Washington (UW) and in multi-disciplinary assessment from the Center for Human Development and Disability, also at UW.
Jessica Connerton M.A., CCC-SLP received her B.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from University of Washington and her M.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Washington State University. She has worked professionally with both typically developing and special needs children for more than ten years. Jessica has treated children with speech and language delays in private pediatric clinics for the past two years. Prior to that, she treated preschool and elementary school age populations with speech and language delays in a school setting. Jessica has completed continuing education courses focusing on use of the DIR Floortime model, treatment methods for children with autism, dysarthria, stuttering, and children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Jessica has also conducted academic research and attended numerous workshops focusing on Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
